Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - The purpose of this study is to investigate how people with chronic aphasia use smartphones as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in daily life. A questionnaire survey will be conducted to identify situations in which participants experience communication difficulties, whether they use smartphones as a compensatory means of communication, how they use smartphones for communication, and reasons for not using smartphones when applicable.

Key inclusion criteria - * Individuals who are receiving outpatient or day-care rehabilitation services at Keio University Hospital, Tokyo Bay Rehabilitation Hospital, or Tokyo Bay Rehabilitation Center.
* Individuals who live at home.
* People with aphasia who are at least 6 months post-onset, or their cohabiting family members.
Key exclusion criteria - * Individuals with marked cognitive impairment, as indicated by a low score on the Raven's Colored Progressive Matrices (RCPM).
* Individuals who have difficulty initiating spontaneous behavior due to a reduced level of consciousness.
