Tokyo, Oct. 17 -- UMIN Clinical Trials Registry (UMIN-CTR) received information related to the study (UMIN000063322) titled 'Gamified Exercise Programme to Improve Posture and Physical Activity among Primary School Students' on Oct. 16.

Study Type: Interventional

Study Design: Basic Design - Parallel Randomization - Randomized Blinding - Open -no one is blinded Control - Active

Primary Sponsor: Institute - Universiti Malaya

Condition: Condition - Postural deviations among primary school students Classification by malignancy - Others Genomic information - NO

Objective: Narrative objectives1 - To identify common upper- and lower-body postural deviations among primary school students using PostureScreen Mobile and to evaluate the effectiveness of a school-based gamified corrective exercise programme in improving selected postural alignment parameters through pre- and post-intervention assessments. Basic objectives2 - Efficacy

Intervention: Interventions/Control_1 - Participants randomized to the intervention group will undergo a supervised school-based gamified corrective exercise programme conducted three times weekly for 8 weeks, comprising 24 sessions lasting approximately 20 to 40 minutes each. The programme will include age-appropriate corrective exercises delivered through interactive games and group activities, focusing on postural awareness, trunk control, and upper and lower body alignment. Postural alignment will be assessed using PostureScreen Mobile at baseline and immediately after the 8-week intervention. Interventions/Control_2 - Participants randomized to the active control group will perform supervised, age-appropriate light stretching exercises during the study period. The control group will not participate in the gamified corrective exercise programme. Postural alignment will be assessed using PostureScreen Mobile at baseline and immediately after completion of the eight-week study period.

Eligibility: Age-lower limit - 7 years-old = Gender - Male and Female Key inclusion criteria - 1. Primary school students enrolled in Years 1 to 6 at the participating school in Malaysia. 2. Students aged 7 to 12 years. 3. Students identified with at least one predefined postural deviation based on PostureScreen Mobile assessment. 4. Students with written parental or guardian consent and student assent. 5. Students who are able to safely participate in the assigned exercise programme. Key exclusion criteria - 1.Students with diagnosed neurological, musculoskeletal, or other medical conditions that may substantially affect posture assessment or make participation in the exercise programme unsafe. 2.Students with an acute injury or medical restriction that prevents safe participation in the assigned exercises. 3.Students who are unable to complete the required posture assessments. 4.Students without written parental or guardian consent or student assent. Target Size - 48
