Tokyo, Oct. 1 -- UMIN Clinical Trials Registry (UMIN-CTR) received information related to the study (UMIN000058938) titled 'Measurement of Pediatric Auditory Evoked Responses' on Oct. 1.

Study Type: Observational

Primary Sponsor: Institute - International University of Health and Welfare

Condition: Condition - hearing loss Classification by malignancy - Others Genomic information - NO

Objective: Narrative objectives1 - In previous studies, we measured gap-evoked auditory steady-state responses (gASSR) induced by embedding 40 and 80 Hz silent gaps within broadband noise to objectively assess auditory temporal resolution in adults . Conducting tests requiring subject response in children is difficult in routine clinical practice. We hypothesize that the ASSR could be used to objectively assess auditory function in children, and we measure brain activity using electroencephalography (EEG). Basic objectives2 - Others

Eligibility: Age-lower limit - 1 months-old = Gender - Male and Female Key inclusion criteria - Children with normal hearing Key exclusion criteria - History of mental or neurological disorders, cardiac pacemaker, neurostimulator, prior head surgery, pregnancy, wearing orthodontic appliances (dental fillings and crowns are acceptable) Target Size - 20

Recruitment Status: Recruitment status - Preinitiation Date of protocol fixation - 2025 Year 09 Month 30 Day Anticipated trial start date - 2025 Year 09 Month 30 Day Last follow-up date - 2029 Year 03 Month 31 Day
