Japan, Sept. 18 -- OKAZAKI SHIGEKI has got intellectual property rights for 'ACCELERATOR PEDAL SYSTEM WITH ACCELERATION SUPPRESSION FUNCTION.' Other related details are as follows:

Application Number: JP,2023-042383

Category (FI): B60K26/02,B60K28/10@Z

Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which suppresses acceleration of a vehicle correspondingly to each of individual drivers even if an accelerator pedal is pressed powerfully confusing it with a brake pedal.SOLUTION: In an acceleration pedal system with an acceleration suppression function: an ECU is configured to, on the basis of a relation between accelerator pedal pressing forces of drivers and body weight values of the drivers, forcibly disconnect an output line to cut off a signal when an accelerator pedal pressing force becomes equal to or greater than 80% of the body weight value; and an electric circuit switch is used so as to cause the ECU to determine occurrence of abnormality and to disconnect the output line so as to bring the vehicle into an idling state where acceleration of the vehicle is suppressed. Thus, when the pressing force of the accelerator pedal becomes equal to or greater than 80% of the body weight value, the switch is activated against resistance, to become OFF from ON, disconnects a circuit and cuts off the signal. Thereby, the ECU determines occurrence of abnormality and turns the vehicle into the idling state so as to suppress acceleration of the vehicle. The system can correspond to each of individual drivers by changing of a resistance value (a resistance material such as a spring).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 (Grant)
