Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic unit that can be applied to either a single-acting or double-acting hydraulic cylinder simply by manually switching a single-acting/double-acting selector valve.SOLUTION: A hydraulic unit 1 comprises an oil tank 2, a hydraulic pump 3 that suctions oil from the oil tank 2, an engine 4 that drives the hydraulic pump 3, and a hydraulic control circuit 5, and sends oil from the hydraulic pump 3 to a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 6 or a single-acting hydraulic cylinder 7 via the hydraulic control circuit 5. The hydraulic control circuit 5 comprises a first coupler 8 connected to a feed port 61, 71 of the double-acting or single-acting hydraulic cylinder 6, 7, and a second coupler 9 connected to a return port 62 of the double-acting hydraulic cylinder 6.
