Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve temper color resistance by equalizing a thickness of a heat resistant sintered coating formed on a metal member.SOLUTION: A transparent heat resistant sintered film is formed on a metal member by performing a coating step of applying a coating liquid using a silicon compound as a main component to the metal member having a glossy surface directly heated by a heat source in a cooking appliance, a drying step of drying a film of the coating liquid applied to the metal member, and a sintering step of heating and sintering the film after drying of the metal member at a predetermined temperature in this order. The coating step is performed after performing a base step (plating step) of rounding an edge part served as a corner of the metal member by chemical treatment accompanied with a chemical reaction. Since the chemical treatment of the base step rounds the edge part of the metal member, and the heat resistant sintered film can be easily formed with a uniform thickness even in the edge part in the subsequent step, temper color resistance is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 (Grant)
