Japan, Feb. 27 -- THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC (BREMEN) GMBH has got intellectual property rights for 'MULTIREFLECTION MASS SPECTROMETER.' Other related details are as follows:

Application Number: JP,2024-135629

Category (FI): H01J49/40,600,H01J49/00,090,H01J49/02,500,G01N27/62@B,H01J49/00,270

Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multireflection time-of-flight type mass spectrometer that includes a mass analyzer having opposing mirror electrodes and focal plane correction electrodes.SOLUTION: Each mirror electrode 12 is elongated generally along a drift direction. A focal plane correction electrode 25 extends along at least a portion of the drift direction in or adjacent to a space between the mirror electrodes. Ions 20 are injected into the mirror electrodes, and potentials provided to the mirror electrodes reflect the ions in a resulting ion beam, causing the ions to follow a zigzag path as the ions drift along the mirror electrodes. Potentials are also provided to the focal plane correction electrode to set a focal plane position of the ion beam to coincide with a detector surface of an ion detector 16 arranged at an end of the ion's path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 (Grant)
