Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend an extended end part of a regeneration pipe smoothly and securely in an expander pipe making method.SOLUTION: A spiral tubular regeneration pipe 3 comprising a belt-like member 10 is arranged in a pipeline 1 which is a regeneration target. A subsequent belt part 19 in the belt-like member 10 is introduced from an introduction part 40 of a pipe making device 20 for expansion to a pipe making part 30. In the pipe making part 30, the belt-like member 10 is wound along a spiral direction and marginal parts 13, 14 of a turn and its next turn of the belt-like member 10 are engaged at their convexoconcaves to form a new tube end 3e of the regeneration pipe 3 and the tube end 3e is screwed in the spiral direction. By this, a peripheral length of a tube part 3a subjected to peripheral length variable processing of the regeneration pipe 3 is expanded. On finishing processing of expansion, a cutting member 50 is allowed to face an introduction port 40a of the introduction part 40, and a part of a projection ridge 14b of the marginal part 14 of the belt-like member 10 is cut by using the cutting member 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 (Grant)
