Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably operate a load by applying heat to the load through a simple configuration when temperature is low.SOLUTION: A power supply device supplies a stabilized DC output voltage to a load. The power supply device includes a first transistor, a linear control unit, a current consumption circuit, a temperature detection element, and a temperature control unit. The first transistor has a drain and a source connected between a power supply terminal to which a power supply voltage is applied and an output terminal from which an output voltage is output. The linear control unit brings a voltage value of the output voltage close to a preset first target value by causing the first transistor to perform a linear amplification operation. The current consumption circuit is connected between the output terminal and ground. The temperature detection element detects a temperature of the load. When the temperature of the load is lower than the preset first value, the temperature control unit causes the current consumption circuit to consume current; and when the temperature of the load is higher than a preset second value equal to or higher than the first value, the temperature control unit stops the consumption of the current by the current consumption circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 (Grant)
