Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can polish a main material and diagonal materials forming one surface of a steel pole having a quadratic prism shape simultaneously while travelling on the steel pole by its own power.SOLUTION: A polishing device 1 includes a transport mechanism 2 and a polishing mechanism 3. The transport mechanism 2 travels on a steel pole 401 in an extension direction by its own power while causing magnetic wheels 4 driven by a motor M1 to be attracted to one side surface 402a of each main material 402. The polishing mechanism 3 is coupled to the transport mechanism 2 and polishes the one side surfaces 402a, 403a of the main materials 402 and diagonal materials 403 with roll brushes 5, 6, 7 driven by a motor M2. The transport mechanism 2 includes a clamp roller 12 supported by a pair of support legs 11 extending from a frame 8.
