Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trigger switch, to be incorporated in a motor-driven apparatus such as a power tool to drive a drive unit such as a drive motor of the motor-driven apparatus, easy to be inspected.SOLUTION: A trigger switch TS comprises a trigger 1 for accepting a push-in operation, a shaft member 3 having one end supporting the trigger 1, and a housing 2 having a though hole 21 through which the other end of the shaft member 3 penetrates. The shaft member 3 moves inside of the housing 2 according to the push-in operation for the trigger 1. The trigger switch TS comprises a covering member 5 that covers the shaft member 3 in a circumferential direction to seal the interior and that is axially extendable.
