Stage: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized washing apparatus having a high washing effect while suppressing outflow of a material to be washed.SOLUTION: A washing apparatus includes: a container 3 which has an inflow port 341 into which liquid flows and a discharge port 331 in which a turning flow is generated in liquid flowed-in and discharges a part of liquid; a storage tank 4 which stores storage liquid containing contaminants and a material to be washed in a manner of facing a discharge port 331; and a delivery pipe 6 which receives the contaminants and liquid components sucked up from the storage tank 4 from a delivery port 611 connected to the container and discharges the contaminants and liquid components from the other end 6a arranged below the delivery port 611. The container 3 has an orifice section 32 in which cross sectional area of an internal space X1 defined by an inner peripheral surface of the container 3 is reduced on the discharge port 331 side more than that on the inflow port 341 side between the inflow port 341 and the discharge port 331. The delivery port 611 has opening area larger than that of the discharge port 311.
