TOKYO, July 22 -- JASDF issued the following news:
From July 15 to 20, accepting the invitation from Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, KCB ADC FREng, Chief of the Air Staff of the Royal Air Force, General UCHIKURA Hiroaki, Chief of Staff, Koku-Jieitai (JASDF), participated in GASCC (Global Air & Space Chiefs' Conference) and observed RIAT25 (Royal International Air Tattoo) in the UK.
During the visit, he conducted bilateral meetings with Chief of the Air Staff of the Royal Air Force , Air Marshal Stephen Chappell, DSC, CSC, OAM, Chief of Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force, Lieutenant General Jamie Speiser-Blanchet, CD, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, Lieutenant General Holger Neumann, Chief of the German Air Force, and others. In addition, Japan- AustraliaPhilippines-United States, and other multilateral meetings were also conducted and air chiefs deepened mutual understanding and promote defense cooperation and exchanges.
Koku-Jieitai will continue work with countries with recognition of "the security of the Euro-Atlantic and of the Indo-Pacific are interconnected."
