TOKYO, Dec. 8 -- Prime Minister and His Cabinet issued the following information:
On December 8, Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to His Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, who held his inauguration ceremony on the same day.
1. In her letter, Prime Minister TAKAICHI expressed her hope for Cote d'Ivoire to further serve as a driving force for regional peace, stability, and economic development under President Ouattara's leadership.
2. Additionally, Prime Minister TAKAICHI reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and trust between Japan and Cote d'Ivoire, and also expressed her commitment to further deepening cooperation across various fields and advancing bilateral relations, building on the achievements of the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) held this year.
