TOKYO, Aug. 16 -- Prime Minister and His Cabinet issued the following highlight:
On August 16, regarding the damages caused by the flood in the northern part of Pakistan, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, delivered the following message of condolences to Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
"I am deeply saddened to learn that many precious lives were lost in the flood that occurred in the northern part of Pakistan.
On behalf of the Government of Japan, I pray for the souls of the victims and extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I would also like to express my sincere wishes for the swift recovery of the injured."
